Price the tier, not the beat
Don't ask "what's this beat worth?" Ask "what's each license worth?" The same beat can sell as a $25 basic lease and a $300 exclusive. Your job is to build a ladder, not a single price.
A simple, proven structure:
- Basic (MP3): entry price, low friction
- Premium (WAV + stems): your "default," priced ~3–4× Basic
- Unlimited: ~2× Premium
- Exclusive: 10×+ Premium — it's a permanent sale

Stop underpricing
Cheap beats attract cheap buyers and signal low quality. If every beat is $20, you're competing on price with thousands of producers. Raising your Premium tier even slightly often increases total revenue because it reframes your catalog as professional.
Use anchoring on purpose
Buyers judge price by comparison. Listing an Exclusive at $500 makes a $40 Premium feel like a steal. The high tier doesn't have to sell often — it makes everything below it look reasonable.
Bundle to raise average order value
Offer beat packs (e.g. "3 beats for the price of 2"). Bundles raise how much each buyer spends and move more of your catalog at once.
Don't leave money on the table after the sale
